In this month's SeeSaw flyer, there is are several great sets of books you may want to purchase. One is the "Read & Understand Collection #2" (item 60). This set of six books emphasizes comprehension skills, such as predicting, making inferences and answering questions. Many of our students have become very good at decoding (sounding out and reading words), but now need to work on making those comprehension connections.
There is also a sight words book set (item 71) and a Hello Kitty phonics set (item 34) that will help with recognizing sight words and decoding new words.
Thanks again for ordering. Now on to class news!
Tick, tock, says the clock,
What time is it?
We are learning about opposites this month. Here is a game that we have been playing this week during Language Arts. Read one of the words from the Opposites List posted below, then ask your child to tell you the opposite. Some of them are easy, but for some may have to stretch your brain!
