HAPPY SPRING, EVERYONE!!!
We had fun reciting and acting out the poem. The kids had a chance to write a journal entry of their own using personification. We looked at photos of other early-spring flowers, and I even taught them how to draw a daffodil. What a great way to kick off the new season of spring.
The daffodils in the video below reside in my front yard, and are quite pleased to be starring on the big screen. Watch it with your child this week and then go on a daffodil hunt in your neighborhood or perhaps at a local park. It will be a grand adventure, as Mr. Milne would say.
Our kindergarten class memorized this lovely poem by A.A. Milne for their poetry journals. We acted out the lines and even learned how to draw a daffodil. The flowers in this video live in my front yard.
